Aimée Prieto

Dr. Aimee Prieto is an attorney from the Dominican Republic with over 14 years of practice, and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since 2014. She specializes in real estate transactions, commercial business transactions, asset forfeiture and investigation, and litigation management and supervision.

Dr. Prieto has worked on multiple cases involving 75+ real properties. Among these cases are complex asset cases for the United States Government, including the first successful asset civil forfeiture between the United States of America and the Dominican Republic related to a multi-million dollar healthcare fraud forfeiture committed in the U.S. with the ill-gotten proceeds invested in the Dominican Republic.

Aimee Prieto has advised on the legal status of over 100 real properties and assisted on resolving complex title issues. She has assisted on multiple real estate transactions and foreign investment in the Dominican Republic.

Dr. Prieto is an arbitrator appointed by the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolutions of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo.

Dr. Prieto coordinated the 2009 and 2011 Editions of the Investors Guide of the American Chamber of Commerce in the Dominican Republic. From 2006-2010, She was in charge of the Legal Department and International Cooperation Division of the Presidential Office of Information and Communication Technologies (OPTIC), office in charge of the DR e-government. From 1999 to 2006 she worked as attorney at the Law Firm Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, Firma de Abogados.

From 1999 to 2006 she worked as attorney at the Law Firm Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, on the Business, Corporate and Intellectual Property Departments.

Aimee holds a bachelors degree in Law from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and a Masters in International e-Business from the Instituto de Educacion Continua of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra.

Dr. Prieto is fluent in Spanish and English and has working knowledge of French.

Sayra J. Ramirez

Lic. Ramirez joined Prieto Cabrera & Asociados in 2011. She is an attorney specialized on real estate transactions and civil, commercial and real estate litigation.

Lic. Ramirez obtained her law degree Cum Laude at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2009. She holds a masters in Conflict Resolution and Mediation from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (UNINI), 2013. In addition, Ramirez is currently pursuing a specialty in Real Estate Law, at IDEMPRESA, 2015.

Lic. Ramirez is a member of the Dominican Bar Association and is fluent in Spanish, English and has working knowledge of French.
